Celebrate the Washington State China Relations Council with Ambassador Gary Locke

Great news!

For a fabulous opportunity to hear the U.S. perspective on China  – Washington state’s top business partner – join us to hear Ambassador Gary Locke give the keynote address at the WSCRC Banquet on October 1st.

Washington state companies, people and institutions have an incredibly rich relationship with China. We have the closest ports in the U.S. to China and Asia and Washington state is the #1 exporter of goods to China in the U.S.

The Washington State China Relations Council is a vital part of this relationship. Established in 1979 following the normalization of relations between China and the U.S., the WSCRC is the oldest non-profit, state wide trade association in the U.S. that focuses specifically on trade with China.

The WSCRC Annual Banquet is being held this year on Tuesday, October 9th. In addition to featuring Ambassador Locke, the Council will honor Mr. Sidney Rittenberg for his lifetime of commitment and support of the goals of the Council, and Expeditors International as Member of the Year.

Prior to his appointment, Ambassador Locke served as the Secretary of Commerce and two terms as Governor of Washington State. Ambassador Locke is the first Chinese-American to serve in any of the above government posts.
