FIUTS – Foundation for International Understanding Through Students
About FIUTS – Foundation for International Understanding Through Students
The Foundation for International Understanding Through Students (FIUTS) has been fostering goodwill, understanding, and cross-cultural dialogue in the Puget Sound area for over half a century. As a nonprofit organization founded at the University of Washington in 1948, FIUTS programs include international student orientation, community homestay, social and intercultural activities, leadership development, and K-12 outreach to local schools.
FIUTS connects university students with local and global communities through programs that build international awareness, cross-cultural communication, and informed leadership. FIUTS programs prepare young people to become leaders and innovators in their own communities and across the globe and to build strong networks of people around the region and the world who are passionate about dialogue and intercultural exchange.
