Bill Stafford Internship

The Bill Stafford internship is a paid, part-time internship. The internship and accompanying fund was established in 2011 in honor of the Trade Alliance’s past president who launched and guided the organization to 20 years of success in bringing the region together for international business and trade.
Trade Alliance interns provide valuable help to staff by assisting with day to day operations, major events and special projects. A minimum commitment of 16 hours per week for 10 weeks is required. A schedule will be developed depending on the student’s other commitments.
Qualifications
Applicants must currently be an undergraduate or graduate student at a university or community college in Washington state. We encourage students to apply who are interested or pursuing a degree in international business, economics, international studies, or related field.
Desired Skills
- Excellent writing, editing, proofreading and verbal communications skills.
- Knowledge of international marketing and cultures preferred.
- Ability to use computers and knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work independently, under pressure, and prioritize and handle multiple tasks.
- Professional and courteous demeanor.
International Internship Program
***Presently accepting applications for Fall quarter quarter, 2015.***
The International Internship is an unpaid, volunteer-based and part-time internship with the Trade Development Alliance. International interns work on a variety of projects and activities. A minimum commitment of 10 weeks is required. A schedule will be developed depending on the student’s other commitments.
Qualifications
Applicants must currently be an international undergraduate or graduate student at a university or community college in Washington state. We encourage students to apply who are interested or pursuing a degree in international business, economics, international studies, or related field.

- A professional working proficiency with English (ILR Level 3).
- Knowledge of international marketing and cultures preferred.
- Ability to use computers and knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work independently, under pressure, and prioritize and handle multiple tasks.
- Professional and courteous demeanor.
