Greater Seattle has developed a wide range of museums, festivals and activities with international flavor for children. Seattle hosts the largest International Children’s Festival in the United States which each year brings performing groups from all over the world. The Woodland Park Zoo, which has been ranked as one of the ten best in the nation, contains international living habitat exhibits such as Thai logging camps, Asian tropical forests and an African savannah.
The Children’s Museum at Seattle Center has exhibits on Japanese housing and African villages. Also at Seattle Center is the Charlotte Martin theatre. This new children’s theatre has been called one of the best in the United States. The Pacific Science Center is one of the United State’s largest science exhibitions and is one of Washington state’s most well-attended attractions. A multitude of other museums, events and organizations provide multicultural activities and exhibits aimed at children.
