Join the Trade Alliance and Henry M. Jackson School of International Studies at our second event in the Centennial Anniversary business lecture series.
Reşat Kasaba is Henry M. Jackson Professor in International Studies and adjunct professor of Sociology, Political Science, and Near Eastern Languages and Civilization at the University of Washington. He is the author or editor of several books including The Ottoman Empire and the World Economy, A Moveable Empire, The Cambridge History of Modern Turkey, Vol. IV, and Cities in the World Economy. He co-edited Rules and Rights in the Middle East, and, Modernity and National Identity in Turkey. He has also published many articles dealing with the Ottoman Empire, modern Turkey, and the Middle East. Professor Kasaba received the University of Washington’s Distinguished Teaching Award in 1999.
