Please join the Washington State China Relations Council, Washington State Department of Commerce and the Trade Development Alliance of Greater Seattle for a business conference and luncheon on US – China cooperation, especially focusing on the collaboration between Guangdong and Washington state.
The delegation is comprised of industry and government representatives, including the president of China Aviation Industry General Aircraft and the president of Zhuhai Sunbird Yacht Manufacturing Company. The group is led by Ma Xingrui, the deputy party secretary of Guangdong Province.
The delegation is specifically interested in identifying business, partnership and investment opportunities with Washington state companies in the following sectors:
- Green technology
- Trade & Logistics
At the conference we will also provide the opportunity for Washington state companies to network directly with the delegation. There will also be an opportunity to for Washington state companies to interact directly with the industries represented in the delegation. It is a great opportunity to meet and work with a large business delegation from Guangdong and senior leaders from China’s most populous province.
This event is a follow up to Washington Governor Jay Inslee’s 2013 trade mission to China, leading to an official visit by Guangdong governor Zhu Xiaodan to Washington State in 2014. The Deputy Party Secretary of Guangdong Province, Mr. Ma has a PhD from the Harbin Institute of Technology and has served in national leadership positions in science and technology. He previously served as Vice-Minister of China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, Director of China Atomic Energy Authority, Director of the State Administration for Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense (SASTIND) and Director of the China National Space Administration (CNSA).
