Program Highlights

Jobs and the Economy: Scotland is actively planning for its economic future. Engage with Edinburgh and Glasgow on our own job creation strategies.

Leader in Global Health: Like Greater Seattle, London continues to be a leader in global health. With the Gates Foundation European headquarters located in London, engage in a discussion with European and Greater Seattle global health experts on how global health affects local health outcomes.

Tourism and Technology: Edinburgh is one of the great festival cities in the world and is using new technologies for even greater success. Learn how we can grow our tourism and visitor exports with new innovations.

Innovative Waterfront Development: From abandoned warehouses to open green space, museums and housing, examine Glasgow’s ongoing Clyde River waterfront development and participate in a forum on how we can shape plans for our own waterfront redevelopments.

Europe, the U.K. and the Euro: In the major financial center of London, learn what’s going on in Europe, participate in a debate on the Euro and learn how the U.K. is dealing with the financial crisis.
