Please join the Trade Development Alliance in welcoming His Excellency Ólafur Ragnar Grímsson, President of Iceland, and his business delegation to Seattle.

Iceland is a hub for renewable energy, ICT, and biotechnology. Around 81 percent of Iceland’s energy supply is derived from domestic renewable energy sources, including geothermal energy and hydropower. The ICT sector has been a focal point for economic development in Iceland, which is home to sophisticated telecommunications facilities through fibre-optic cable connections that offer direct links for data networks. We will hear about these sectors and more from a business panel comprised of key companies with a presence in our region.
