Join Mr. Owens for an overview of Jordan’s business climate focusing on renewable energy, clean technology, aerospace and aviation, and information communication technology.

Water is becoming a scarce resource domestically and internationally. Jordan is the 4th poorest water country in the world; learn how Jordan is combating this issue and about projects in the planning phase to bring water to Jordan.

After the presentation there will be a discussion period regarding the Arab Spring and how it has impacted Jordan.

Sanford Owens arrived in Amman, Jordan as Senior Commercial Officer in August 2010 from London, England. Prior to Amman he headed the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) Commercial Service Business Liaison office in the city of London from August 2006 to July 2010. The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development covers 29 countries of operation from Eastern Europe to Mongolia including Kosovo.
