Alexander Vilkul, Governor from the State of Dnipropetrovsk, will lead a delegation from Ukraine’s industrial heartland, comprised of:
• Yevheniy Udod, Head of the Dnipropetrovsk State Parliament
• Andrey Muksimov, First Deputy Chairman of the State Parliament
• Sergey Milyutin, Head of Press and Information Department
• Tatyana Shapovalova, Head of Information and Computer Maintenance Department
During this first-ever visit to Washington State, the Governor will present on opportunities Dnipropetrovsk offers Greater Seattle professionals.
Once Alexander Vilkul took office as Governor he began working to improve Dnipropetrovsk’s economic development, ultimately securing the top slot in regional development ratings for Ukraine.
Dnipropetrovsk is the industrial heartland of Ukraine, and the Governor has been a big proponent for environmental causes, helping to alleviate the footprint caused by manufacturing. His platform also works to develop health care and public transportation.
The State of Dnipropetrovsk has secured a few large international investments and according to experts the region plans to attract $17 million in more investments. France, Poland, Russia and Austria visit the region often looking for economic opportunities.
