Do you need to host a meeting? Why not give Meydenbauer Center a try?
Meydenbauer Center has been named one of the top five Best Places for Small Meetings by Convene Magazine. The magazine describes Meydenbauer as a venue designed for larger events, but that also features an Executive Conference Suite. It also mentioned some additional assets that enhances Bellevue’s identity as a great meeting location, such as walkability and proximity to stores, boutiques and fine dining.
Assets like these have done a lot in recent times to attract visitors to the Greater Seattle area. A 2011 Dean Runyan report on Annual Economic Impacts of Travel shows that visitor volumes in Seattle and King county increased 3.6 percent in 2011. The money visitors spent when visiting these areas increased 6.6 percent.
Tourism is an important industry for our region. Seattle and King County visitors paid $463 million in state and local taxes in 2011. Besides, there were some 51,000 travel related jobs (up 0.7 percent) in King County in 2011.
