This month, Puget Sound Business Journal named the 100 Fastest-Growing Private Companies in Washington state. From aerospace to public relations to ICT to the life sciences, many of these firms are doing business internationally.
High-tech companies figure largely on this list. Many firms are providing various IT solutions for international companies. Akvelon Inc has worked with Finland’s Nokia. Software developer DBBest Technologies operates offices in Israel and the Ukraine. Branding merchandise firm BDA Inc. is based in Woodinville and does business with companies in France and the U.K.
Then there are public relations firms, such as Redmond-based Nayamode which has offices in India, and 206inc., whose customers range from Iceland to Japan.
You can buy sports drinks from Seattle-based Nuun & Co. in over 30 countries. World Medical Equipment Inc. refurbishes medical equipment and does business in Canada.
The firms selected are local, privately held companies with year-over-year revenue increases, contributing to the region’s economic growth.
