The 2017 International Leadership Mission to Mexico was co-organized by the Trade Development Alliance of Greater Seattle and the Seattle Metro Chamber. Mexico holds significant relationships with Greater Seattle and Washington in business, education, investment and more. One of the fastest growing tech hubs in Latin America, Mexico is Washington state’s 12^th largest merchandise customer. The mission focused on deepening relationships and exploring new areas for collaboration and partnership with key leaders and businesses in Mexico.

Mexico is also Latin America's capital for smart cities with Mexico City becoming one of the most coordinated and comprehensive in its use and allocations of data. In the future, Snohomish County wants to become the first Smart County in Washington state, paving the way for future innovations and growth through technology.
